Nikon C990 Downloader

Run the program, switch the camera on, connect the USB cable
to the computer, connect the USB cable to the camera.

Click "Browse"
Select the folder you want to save the pictures too, the software
should remember this directory between sessions.

Select "Connect"

A progress window will appear, the camera is nowe downloading the 
thumbnail images, to the the browse folder, in the thumbnails directory.

Clicking "Don't Overwrite Exisiting Files"

will cause the downloader to only download the image from the camera,
if it doesn't exist in the target folder set in "Browse" step

Clicking "Download All" 
will download all the images in the camera to the "Browse" folder, but if
"Don't Overwrite Exisiting files" is set it won't download an image from
the camera with the same name, even if it has changed.

Double clicking an image in the left side thumbnail view will download
that image to the computer, and show it in the window to the right, it will
be squished/squashed, the image will be normal on the disk though.


Compatibility

This software works with the nikon 990 with nikonview uninstalled, 
but the camera drivers installed.

It has been tested on Windows ME and Windows 2000, 95/98/98SE are
untested and may require IE 5.0 to be installed.

Firmware 1.1 is recommended.

It requires the USB cable, serial cable does not work.

TIFFs (hires uncompressed) are not viewed in the right hand window but are downloaded.
